CAIA LEGAL has more than a century of history in Costa Rica’s legal market. José Alberto and Horacio Castro Rodríguez -our founding partners- were on the list of the first group of attorneys to practice law in the country by being the attorneys' number 79 and 85, respectively, according to the Costa Rican Bar Association’s records. These siblings were known to be prominent jurists and held jobs of utmost importance. José Alberto was appointed as one of the first attorneys for the Costa Rican National Bank and served as Deputy of the Supreme Court of Justice. On the other hand, Horacio was appointed as Deputy of Congress, he participated in issuing the decree to re-establish the Constitution of 1871, he was elected to join the Costa Rican Economic Defense Board with the General Tomás Guardia during World War II, and during a big portion of his career he served as the National Electricity Service’s Director. These splendid jurists set the foundations of what CAIA LEGAL is today, by transmitting their probity and legal knowledge to form a consolidated, reliable, and transcendent firm.
